MAK - Muzeum Sztuki Stosowanej

MAK - Museum of Applied Art is one of the oldest applied art museums in the world, founded in 1863 as the Imperial Royal Austrian Museum of Art and Industry.

The impressive interiors of the building designed by Heinrich von Ferstel feature a wealth of exhibits from the Middle Ages to the present day - furniture, textiles, glass, ceramics and metalwork.

Particularly valuable are the works of the Wiener Werkstätte, a collective of artists and designers from the early 20th century. The museum combines history with modernity, also offering temporary exhibitions and innovative projects in the MAK DESIGN LAB.
