Description
Chester Beatty Library is a unique museum located in the grounds of Dublin Castle. Founded in 1953 by Sir Alfred Chester Beatty, it displays a remarkable collection of manuscripts, books and artwork from Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Among the treasures you'll find some of the oldest Christian artifacts in the world, including Papyrus 45 and 46, Egyptian Books of the Dead and rare illustrated manuscripts.
After exploring the exhibition, you can relax in the Japanese rooftop garden or enjoy Middle Eastern delicacies at the Silk Road Café.
