Berlinische Galerie

Berlinische Galerie is a fascinating museum of modern art in Berlin, founded in 1975. It presents an impressive collection of Berlin art from 1870 to the present.

The 4600 sq. m. exhibition space showcases painting, sculpture, installations and multimedia art. The interdisciplinary collection encompasses art, photography, architecture and artists' archives, creating an excellent environment for dialogue between the different disciplines.

The museum takes a closer look at Berlin's turbulent history from the early days of modernism to the 1980s, presenting works by both well-known artists and artists forgotten by history.
