Description
Uhrenmuseum Beyer Zürich is one of the most important private watch museums in the world. The collection includes more than 500 timekeeping instruments, from 1400 BC to the present day.
The museum showcases a variety of timepieces - from sundials, oil clocks, hourglasses, water clocks to pocket watches and wristwatches.
Among the exhibits are true rarities, such as the prototype of the first quartz watch or the watches used during the first ascent of Mount Everest. With interactive elements and iPads with information in six languages, the tour becomes a fascinating journey through the history of time measurement.
