Schwörhaus

Schwörhaus is a historic building in Ulm that serves as a museum of urban history.

Erected in 1613, it houses a permanent exhibition presenting highlights of the city's history from its beginnings to the present day. The exhibition is enhanced by interactive multimedia installations, models and large-format graphics that tell the fascinating history of Ulm in an accessible way.

The building is also the site of the annual Schwörmontags ceremony, during which the mayor delivers a speech from the balcony and renews the historic oath to the city's constitution of 1397.
