Museum of the Bavarian Kings

Museum of the Bavarian Kings is a modern museum dedicated to the Wittelsbach dynasty, with a special focus on King Maximilian II and his son, the famous Ludwig II.

The museum features original artifacts, historical documents and magnificent works of art, including King Ludwig II's original mantle. Interactive stations and audiovisual presentations bring the history of the Bavarian rulers to life.

A 21-meter panoramic window on the second floor offers a breathtaking view of the Alpsee, the surrounding Alps and Hohenschwangau Castle.
