Description
Benaki Museum is a unique cultural institution in the heart of Athens. Founded in 1930 by Antonis Benakis, it showcases more than 100,000 exhibits ranging from prehistoric works of art to modern masterpieces.
The museum is housed in a neoclassical building across from the National Gardens and the Presidential Palace. Its extensive collections include Greek art, Asian art, Islamic art, Chinese porcelain and toys.
There is a rooftop restaurant offering a magnificent view of the city - the perfect place to relax while visiting.
