Mutrah Fort

Mutrah Fort is a historic fortress located on a rocky hill above the natural harbor of Muttrah in Muscat. Built in 1507 and later modified by the Portuguese, it is a fascinating example of defensive colonial architecture.

The fort's three circular towers offer breathtaking views of the bay and the Gulf of Oman. After renovation in 2018, the structure has retained its original architectural details while becoming accessible to the public.
