Description
Pieskowa Skała Castle. A branch of the Wawel Royal Castle is a gem of Renaissance architecture located in the picturesque Ojcow National Park.
Built by Casimir the Great in the 14th century, the castle impresses with its double loggia decorated with sgraffito technique and arcades with 21 mascarons.
It is not only a monument, but also a museum with valuable pieces from the Wawel collection. Nearby is the famous Mace of Hercules, a distinctive rock formation that, together with the castle, forms one of Poland's most recognizable landscapes.
