Description

The Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn is housed in a 14th-century Gothic castle, where Nicolaus Copernicus lived for five years. It is a real gem for history and astronomy lovers!

Within the castle's walls you can admire a unique astronomical tablet made by Copernicus himself in 1517 - the world's only surviving astronomical object created by the great scientist.

The museum offers a rich collection of Gothic sculptures, religious paintings of Warmia, Dutch portraits and contemporary prints. In summer, climb the 40-meter tower for panoramic views of the city.
