Description
The MAZOWIECKIE MUSEUM IN PLOCK is Poland's oldest museum, founded in 1821. It is famous for its unique collections of Art Nouveau art, which have earned it the nickname 'Museum of Art Nouveau'.
The unique collections include arrangements of bourgeois rooms from the turn of the 20th century, rooms of arts and crafts and an impressive Art Déco collection. The '10th Centuries of Plock' exhibit depicts the city's thousand-year history, while ethnography enthusiasts can enjoy the 'Culture of Mazovia in a Folk's View of the World' exhibition.
The museum also offers a fascinating journey to the Far East through a collection of Buddhist Asian treasures.
