Description
The Museum of the History of the City of Lublin is located in the historic Krakow Gate, built in 1341 by Casimir the Great. It is a place where history comes alive through fascinating exhibits and displays.
The museum presents memorabilia related to the history of Lublin Castle and guides visitors through the evolution of Lublin from ancient times to the present.
The permanent exhibition includes archaeological, numismatic and ethnographic collections, as well as Polish historical and battle paintings and a gallery of foreign paintings of the 17th-19th centuries. There are also 20-30 temporary exhibitions every year.
