Description
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is one of Scotland's most popular free attractions, located in the heart of Glasgow's West End.
The museum offers 22 themed galleries with over 8,000 exhibits ranging from natural history to Egyptian antiquities. Among the most interesting collections are Salvador Dalí's famous painting 'Christ of St John of the Cross', Sir Roger the Asian elephant and a Spitfire plane suspended from the ceiling.
An eclectic mix of history, art and interactive displays makes the place a delight for adults and children alike. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece in the Spanish Baroque style.
