Description
Gallerie dell'Accademia is a treasure trove of Venetian art, where masterpieces by the greatest masters from the 14th to 18th centuries await you. Founded in 1750, the museum is housed in the historic 1343 Scuola della Carità building.
Here admire priceless works by Giorgione, Bellini, Carpaccia, Veronese, Tintoretto and Titian. A unique exhibit is Leonardo da Vinci's famous 'Vitruvian Man' drawing, shown only occasionally due to its delicacy.
This is the ideal place for art and history lovers, and is the perfect starting point for discovering Venice's cultural heritage.
