Description
The Christopher Columbus House is a fascinating museum in Las Palmas, housed in the more than five-hundred-year-old building of the former Governors' Residence. According to legend, Columbus himself stayed here during his voyages to America!
In five thematic halls you will discover the history of Columbus' expeditions, pre-Columbian culture and the history of the Canary Islands. The building is a stunning example of Canarian architecture with beautiful courtyards, fountains and palm trees, where colorful ares live.
It is not just a museum, but a cultural center with a rich collection of historical artifacts, old maps and navigational instruments from the era of the great discoveries.
