Description
Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is a futuristic architectural complex in Valencia, designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.
It is a veritable feast for lovers of modern architecture and science. The complex includes the Príncipe Felipe interactive science museum, Europe's largest Oceanogràfic oceanarium with more than 20,000 sea creatures, the eye-shaped Hemisfèric planetarium and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía opera house.
Strolling along Umbracle, an open-air promenade with vegetation typical of the Valencia region, visitors can enjoy sculptures by contemporary artists and breathtaking views of the entire complex.
