Natural History Museum Rijeka

Natural History Museum Rijeka is one of the oldest regional museums in Rijeka, operating continuously since 1876.

The museum has an impressive collection of some 90,000 exhibits in 28 collections, recognized as Croatia's protected cultural heritage.

The most interesting attractions are a multimedia center with an aquarium displaying species from the Adriatic Sea and a botanical garden with more than 2,000 plant species. A permanent exhibition presents the geological past of the Adriatic Sea, minerals, marine invertebrates, sharks, stingrays and reptiles and amphibians from the Rijeka region.
