Description

Museo Faggiano is a fascinating archaeological museum in Lecce that was created through an accidental discovery. While renovating his family home, Luciano Faggiano stumbled upon a real treasure - more than 5,000 artifacts from 2,500 years of the city's history!

Through the glass floors you can peek into underground chambers, tunnels and tombs. The museum is housed in a former Franciscan monastery dating back to the 16th-17th centuries and displays Roman and medieval finds, including ancient vases, bottles, rings with Christian symbols and frescoes.

It is a true journey through the layers of Lecce's history, told with passion by the Faggiano family.
