Description
Museo Diocesano de Arte Sacro de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a fascinating museum located in the heart of the historic Santa Ana Cathedral complex.
Housed in the 17th century cloister of the Patio de los Naranjos, the museum showcases an impressive collection of sacred art, including wooden sculptures, paintings and gold jewelry from the Flemish, Castilian and Andalusian schools.
Among the most valuable pieces is the wooden sculpture of Santa Catalina de Alejandría, one of the most revered statues in Las Palmas, and works by prominent Canarian masters such as sculptor Luján Pérez.
