Description

The Historical Museum of the City of Strasbourg is a fascinating journey through the centuries of history of this charming city. It is housed in a Renaissance building of a former slaughterhouse dating from 1587-1588, which is itself part of the exhibition.

The museum displays more than 1,700 exhibits, including the famous 1727 city plan commissioned by Louis XV. With 9 interactive and 9 digital installations, the tour is appealing to everyone.

The exhibit includes models, paintings, weapons, uniforms and everyday objects, illustrating the political, economic and social history of Strasbourg from the Middle Ages to the present.
