Description

Museum of Fuessen is a fascinating place located in the baroque complex of the former Benedictine monastery of St. Mang.

The museum is famous for its impressive collection of historical lutes and violins, recalling Füssen's role as the cradle of European violin-making. The first European guild of luthiers was founded here in the 16th century!

A remarkable attraction is the oldest surviving death dance cycle in Bavaria, dating back to 1602, located in the Anna Chapel. There is a special booklet 'With Little Mang through a Baroque Monastery' with puzzles and activities for families.
