Museu del Port de Tarragona is a fascinating maritime museum that takes you on an interactive journey through the history of the port.
Discover a ship's engine, steer a sailboat around the Mediterranean or go on a virtual fishing trip. Of particular interest is the exhibition of 18th century shipwrecks discovered in 2012 and the multisensory experience 'Blue Observatory', which allows you to feel the atmosphere of a local fish market.
The museum is part of the four-kilometer Tarragona Port Heritage Trail, which ends at La Banya lighthouse.
