Description

Museo Arqueológico de Fuerteventura is a fascinating place that will take you on a journey through the island's history.

The museum has three exhibition halls, two dedicated to archaeological material and one to ethnographic objects. Here you will learn about the culture of the island's original inhabitants, the Mahos people, their magical-religious world and their strategies for survival in the arid environment.

You'll see unique artifacts from places like Mount Tindaya and Villaverde Cave. The museum is located in the historic village of Betancuria, the first capital of the Canary Islands after the Conquest, which adds depth to the whole experience.
