Description
The Roman Wall is a fascinating monument to ancient Emona, a Roman city founded in 14 AD on the site of present-day Ljubljana.
The impressive walls, 6-8 meters high and 2.5 meters thick, are a remnant of the city's southern border. Partially restored in the 1930s, they hide fragments of Roman mosaics and a heating system.
This is a great place for history and archaeology lovers who want to feel the spirit of antiquity. A walk along the walls allows you to travel back in time and imagine life in a Roman colony two thousand years ago.
