Monopteros im Englischen Garten is a charming Greek temple with ten Ionic columns, built on a small hill in Munich's famous park.
Built between 1832 and 1837 at the behest of King Ludwig I, it offers breathtaking views of the old city skyline, including the distinctive silhouettes of the Frauenkirche and Theatinerkirche.
It's the perfect place for a romantic stroll at sunset or a moment's respite while sightseeing. After renovations in 2014-2016, the temple is also beautifully illuminated at night, adding even more magical charm.
