Mirador Salinas de Janubio

Mirador Salinas de Janubio is a unique vantage point offering breathtaking panoramic views of Lanzarote's only commercially operating salt pans.

From here you can admire the geometric salt pools shimmering in different colors depending on the water level and light. The emerald-green lagoon and the contrasting white mountains of salt create an amazing landscape that delights photographers from around the world.

The site is also historically significant - salt pans have been in operation since the early 20th century, and at their peak produced as much as 10,000 tons of sea salt per year. It's the perfect place to stop while exploring the island's southern coast.
