Sultan Qaboos Mosque

The Sultan Kabus Mosque is an impressive example of modern Islamic architecture in Salalah. This majestic building impresses with a dome of 14,000 tons of marble, 50 meters in diameter, and four 90-meter minarets symbolizing the four schools of Islamic thought.

The interior of the mosque is decorated with intricate mosaics, majestic chandeliers and hand-woven carpets. The main prayer hall can accommodate up to 2,500 worshippers and contains one of the largest hand-woven carpets in the world with 1.7 million knots.
