Description
Münster Unserer Lieben Frau is the historic Cathedral of Constance, which dates back to the 7th century. It served as a bishop's cathedral for more than 1,200 years and is one of the most important Romanesque churches in southwestern Germany.
The interior impresses with a mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. Note the wooden spiral staircase leading up to the pulpit, the stained glass windows and the copper plates, including a large 10th century plate depicting Christ.
The cathedral is famous for its twelve bells, considered among the most harmonious in Germany. It's the perfect place to take a moment to calm down and admire the artistry of sacred architecture.
