Description

Canterbury Cathedral is one of the oldest and most important Christian buildings in England. Founded in 597, it impresses with its combination of Romanesque and Gothic architecture and beautiful stained glass windows, including the famous Windows of Wonder.

As the site of Archbishop Thomas Becket's martyrdom in 1170, the cathedral has become an important pilgrimage destination and has been listed by UNESCO. The building offers a fascinating journey through history, with rich archives containing more than 8,000 documents and 50,000 books.

The magnificent gardens, picturesque cloisters and beautiful architecture make it an ideal destination for history and culture lovers.
