Błękitny Meczet

The Blue Mosque is an architectural jewel of Istanbul, stunning in its monumental structure with six slender minarets.

The interior of the mosque is decorated with more than 20,000 handmade Iznik ceramic tiles and 250 stained glass windows that fill the space with an eerie blue light.

Built between 1609 and 1616 on the orders of Sultan Ahmed I, it combines traditional Islamic elements with Byzantine influences. The courtyard, as impressive as the temple itself, is surrounded by a vaulted arcade and adorned with a hexagonal fountain.
