Bazylika Notre-Dame de Fourvière

The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière is the architectural jewel of Lyon, combining Byzantine, Gothic and Romanesque styles. Built of white Carrara marble, pink granite and blue marble, it impresses with its richness of decoration and mosaics.

Four 48-meter towers symbolize the cardinal virtues, and the north tower offers a spectacular view of Lyon - on clear days you can even see Mont Blanc!

It has been a pilgrimage site since the 17th century, especially after the city was saved from the plague in 1643. It attracts 2.5 million visitors each year, delighting visitors with its splendor and spiritual atmosphere.
