Description
Memorial Museum of Dominican Resistance is a unique site dedicated to the memory of those who fought against the dictatorship of Rafael Leónidas Trujillo between 1930 and 1961.
The museum offers a fascinating journey through the difficult history of the Dominican Republic through modern audiovisual means, dioramas and models of torture centers.
Visitors can see the restored Prison No. 9, a historic site commemorating the victims of the struggle for democracy. The exhibit is available with an audio guide in English and Spanish, making it easier to understand this important part of Dominican history.
