Description
Cañón del Sumidero is a spectacular national park in the Mexican state of Chiapas, where vertical walls rise 1,000 meters high. The Grijalva River flowing through the canyon creates breathtaking scenery.
It's a paradise for nature and adventure lovers - during the boat ride you can admire waterfalls, beaches and unique rock formations, such as Cueva de Colores with walls shimmering with different colors or a stalactite in the shape of a seahorse.
The canyon is home to endangered species, including the Central American river turtle and the American crocodile, which can be observed on the riverbanks.
