Description
Malpais de La Arena is a young volcano in Fuerteventura, approximately 10,000 years old. It is a unique protected area, covering 12 km² of lava fields and home to endemic flora and fauna.
It offers a 5-kilometer circular trail, ideal for easy hiking on flat terrain, from which you can enjoy spectacular rock formations, hidden caves and panoramic views. For the more adventurous, there is a hidden path that leads to the top of the volcano (120 meters), where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the two craters.
Remember to bring water, sunscreen and trekking shoes!
