Zamek Vianden

Vianden Castle is a monumental Romanesque-Gothic fortress built on rocky peaks between the 11th and 14th centuries, considered one of the largest and most beautiful feudal residences in Europe.

Built on the foundations of a Roman castellum and Carolingian ruins, the castle boasts a rich history spanning from the early Middle Ages to the Renaissance. It features a rare decagonal chapel dating back to 1196 and a magnificent Great Hall.

After extensive restoration since 1977, the castle offers an interactive visitor center with audio guides in multiple languages.
