Description
Lurgrotte is the largest active water cave in Austria, offering an unforgettable experience for nature and adventure lovers.
The impressive rock formations, including a gigantic stalactite weighing 40 tons, and the enormous Great Dome measuring 120 by 80 meters are breathtaking.
The cave system, nearly 6 kilometers long, impresses with its variety of passages and chambers. The temperature inside remains at a constant 9°C, creating a mysterious microclimate ideal for year-round exploration.

Jeroen Oerlemans3 years agoVery nice cave, good tour guide, well worth a visit! It's about 9 degrees celcius inside, so bring a jacket. Hiking shoes are not necessary, but proper shoes would be advisable. Everything is nicely lit, especially the huge cavern at the turning point of the tour. The total tour takes about 70 minutes.
Anna Dragatsika2 years agoThis is an amazing place that you have to visit! The lady that walked us through the place was amazing and very kind and had numerous stories to share with us. If you visit during summer wear a jacket. It is quite cold inside and the tour lasts for an hour!Related categories
