Description
Lardon Chase is a scenic nature reserve located on the edge of the Berkshire Downs, offering breathtaking views of the Thames Valley and surrounding countryside.
This unique place is famous for its chalk grasslands, which are some of the best preserved in Berkshire. In spring and summer, you can admire rare species of butterflies, including blue, marbled and rodent butterflies, as well as a variety of orchids and other wildflowers.
For outdoor enthusiasts, there are several hiking trails of varying difficulty. The area is dog-friendly, although a leash is required in some places.

Zach Dillsa year agoFirst time walking around Lardon Chase. Great spot near Goring, perfect way to get up higher and see some wider views than you get if you stick only to the Thames Path. Worth leaving the river to see the bigger picture. Lovely area.
