The Old Bridge (Alte Brücke) in Heidelberg is a historic stone arch bridge built in 1788 by Prince Karl Theodore. It is a replica of the original bridge destroyed during World War II.

It not only crosses the Neckar River, but is a true cultural attraction with its distinctive statue of the Bridge Monkey (Brückenaffe), which according to legend symbolizes equality and self-reflection.
