Description
The Spanish Steps are one of Rome's most recognizable symbols, connecting the Spanish Square to the Trinità dei Monti Church.
This majestic Baroque staircase, consisting of 138 steps, was built between 1723 and 1725 and is shaped like a butterfly with three terraces.
It is the second widest staircase in Europe and has attracted artists, writers and celebrities over the centuries. In spring, the stairs are decorated with colorful flowers during the Festa della Primavera, creating a fairy-tale setting perfect for souvenir photos.
