Description

Pont Valentré is a medieval fortified bridge in Cahors, a masterpiece of 14th century defensive architecture. This stone structure with three towers and eight arches is a UNESCO-listed site.

Also known as the 'Devil's Bridge' due to a fascinating legend - it is said that a desperate builder made a pact with the devil to speed up construction, and then outsmarted him by asking him to bring water in a sieve.

Illuminated in the evenings, the bridge offers picturesque views of the Lot River and surrounding cliffs - the perfect place for a peaceful stroll and exceptional photographs.
