Holman's Bridge

Holman's Bridge is a historic brick bridge north of Aylesbury that has witnessed significant events in English history.

It was here on November 1, 1642 that the Battle of Aylesbury took place during the English Civil War, where Parliamentary forces defeated the Royalists.

The bridge is a fascinating combination of natural landscape and historical heritage. The remains of 247 soldiers and musket balls were discovered near the bridge, confirming the authenticity of the site as a battlefield. For history buffs, it is an undiscovered Buckinghamshire gem.
