Description
Harmondsworth Barn is an impressive medieval barn dating back to 1426, and is one of the largest and best preserved of its kind in England.
At nearly 60 meters long, this Gothic structure impresses with its intricate system of wooden oak beams, reminiscent of Gothic church structures. More than 95% of the original structural elements survive today, making it an exceptional example of medieval carpentry craftsmanship.
For lovers of history and architecture, this is a real treat - an opportunity to admire the craftsmanship of the builders, who used only axes, saws and punches.
