Dún Aonghasa

Dún Aonghasa is a prehistoric fort located on the cliffs of Inishmore Island in the Aran Islands archipelago. Dating back to 1100 BC, this impressive monument impresses with its three concentric stone walls and limestone spike defense system.

It offers a breathtaking view of the Irish coastline from 100 meters above the Atlantic. The fort was originally oval in shape, but part of the structure has slipped into the sea.
