Description

Landesmuseum Mainz is one of the oldest museums in Germany, housed in a baroque building with a modern glass structure.

The collection includes exhibits from prehistory to the 21st century, including Roman artifacts, medieval sculptures, Renaissance and Baroque works. Particularly noteworthy are prints by Albrecht Dürer and Käthe Kollwitz, Dutch paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries, and Art Nouveau glass by Émile Gallé.

The museum offers special tours for children ages 3 and up and tactile books for the visually impaired, making it an accessible attraction for all.
