Mubarakiya Old Market

Mubarakiya Old Market is one of the oldest markets in Kuwait, more than 200 years old. This historic bazaar impresses with its authentic atmosphere and abundance of oriental treasures.

Here you can purchase Persian silk carpets, Arabic antiques, traditional perfumes like musk and oud, as well as local delicacies. For those craving a culinary experience, there are restaurants serving Arabic and Persian dishes.

There are two small museums in the bazaar: the Sheikh Mubarak Kiosk and the first pharmacy in Kuwait. On hot days, a sprinkler system cools visitors seated in traditional cafes, where coals-brewed tea is served.
