Cloud Gate

Cloud Gate is an impressive 110-ton polished stainless steel sculpture, known colloquially as 'The Bean'. Created by British artist Anish Kapoor, this masterpiece of contemporary art impresses with its mirrored surface that reflects the Chicago skyline and passersby in a fascinating, distorted way.

As you walk under the sculpture's 12-foot arch, you will experience changing reflections and perspectives, making it highly interactive. Made of 168 perfectly connected plates of steel, this 66-foot structure is one of the largest permanent art installations in the world.
