Description
Kongens Nytorv is a historic square in the heart of Copenhagen, founded in 1670 by King Christian V.
It's a place full of charm, where you can admire the impressive horse statue of Christian V, the oldest royal sculpture in the city. The square is surrounded by magnificent buildings, including the Royal Danish Theater, the luxurious Hotel D'Angleterre and Charlottenborg Palace.
In winter, the square turns into a huge 2,200-square-meter ice skating rink, where you can skate for free. It's the perfect place to get a feel for Copenhagen and start exploring the city.
