Description
The Moldovita Monastery is a UNESCO-listed gem of sacred architecture. Built in 1532 by Petru Rareș, it impresses with its unique frescoes from 1537-1538, which are considered the best preserved in all of Bukovina.
The impressive paintings depict scenes from the Old and New Testaments, impressing with their vivid colors and masterful workmanship. The thick walls and massive towers create a unique example of Moldavian architectural style.
