Description
Kingston Russell Stone Circle is a fascinating prehistoric monument from the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, approximately 4,000 years old.
It is the largest stone circle in Dorset County, consisting of 18 stones arranged in an oval shape measuring 24 by 27 meters. All the stones lie flat on the ground, which adds to the site's mysterious character.
From this unique point there are picturesque views of the surrounding countryside and the sea. The site is shrouded in local folklore, including tales of a farmer and a wizard, making it even more intriguing for lovers of history and legends.
