Description
Kay Park is a 30-acre green space in the heart of Kilmarnock, offering the perfect place for a family vacation. It was established in 1879 with funds donated by Alexander Kay.
The park is famous for the Burns Monument, which was transformed into a history center with a wedding hall after a fire in 2004. Also worth seeing is the Corinthian column erected in 1885 in memory of the parliamentary reformers.
In the past, the park offered a miniature golf course, fountains and boat rides on the pond. Today, it's an ideal place to stroll, picnic and commune with nature.
